Alabama Industrial Energy Consumers

AIEC 2017 Spring Meeting scheduled for May 15-16

Members of the Alabama Industrial Energy Consumers (AIEC) are set to hold their 12th annual Spring Meeting on May 15-16, 2017, in Montgomery, Ala. An association composed of companies owning and operating industrial facilities in Alabama, the AIEC addresses issues — particularly regulatory issues — impacting the provision of electric utility services to Alabama industrial customers and develops public policy for electricity across the state.

Following a cocktail reception and dinner on May 15, AIEC members will gather at the Montgomery office of Capell & Howard on May 16 for a full day of discussion about pressing energy matters pertinent to Alabama and the state’s highest consumers of energy, its industrial partners.

On the agenda for discussion are general AIEC business matters, Alabama energy efficiency updates, and details on the legal and political landscape for Alabama Power Company — the electric utility that serves 1.4 million Alabamians and every AIEC member — and its energy strategies.
